Job Description
- Ensure sites operate in compliance with the Italian HSE regulation and maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety legislation and best practices.
- Ensure all Accidents, Incidents / Near Misses are reported, investigated and recorded, and that any recommendations are implemented.
- Support all areas of the sites in the completion of HSE risk assessment processes.

Support Sites and Corporate HSE programs and initiatives, maintain and submit reports as required;- Maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certification and participate in the audit program to ensure compliance with both regulatory and company requirements.
- Provides technical support on Environmental, Health and Safety issues, monitor and collect leading&Lagging indicators.
- Develop a culture of trust with all Fugro Italy employees by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely response to employees concerns and requests
- Manage timely response to client pre-qualification questionnaires
- Coordinate emergency management drills and exercises to test organizations’ systems and response capabilities;
- Facilitate and manage company safety committee and safety improvement teams;
- Identify HSE training requirements and make sure training is delivered on time and kept up to date at any time
- Manage the disposal of controlled waste to meet legal requirements and ensure that contractors and facilities used for the disposal of wastes comply with legislation.
- Supervise the implementation and fulfillment of safety related activities on sites to ensure all work is performed in accordance with local jurisdictional laws, clients and corporate safe work practices;
- Supervise and sustain a contractors vetting program and ensure contractors compliance with HSE requirements through vetting, auditing and oversight.
- Participate in Performing and documenting Site management HSE inspections and audits with special emphasis on hazard recognition and safe behaviors.
- Serve as resource to all sites personnel in the H&S discipline (i.e. Industry standard, State regulations, risk assessment, environmental management, confined space entry….) programs, procedures and policies.
